NOTICE OF SPECIAL TRAINING SESSION OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that, pursuant to and in accordance with the Open Public Meetings Act, N.J.S.A. 10:4-6 et seq., the Borough of Ogdensburg Mayor and Council will participate in a special training session conducted by Statewide Insurance Fund, at which a quorum of the Governing Body will be present. Specifically, the Borough’s risk consultant will provide training and education focusing on current local government risk management and employment practices. The training session will be held on Monday, April 22, 2024, beginning at 6:00 p.m., prior to the Governing Body’s regularly scheduled 7:00 p.m. meeting, at the Ogdensburg Municipal Building located at 14 Highland Avenue, Ogdensburg, New Jersey 07439. This is an open public meeting. Formal action will not be taken during this training session. Notice of this meeting was sent to the New Jersey Herald and the Sunday New Jersey Herald on Monday, April 15, 2024. In addition, copies of this notice were posted in a prominent location in Borough Municipal Building, as well as on the Borough of Ogdensburg Website. A copy of this Notice is on file in the Borough Clerk’s Office.

Our legislative office received an update today from the Motor Vehicle Commission indicating that their department added a substantial number of REAL ID appointments to the appointment portal. There are currently over 1,000 available appointments across the state. We have received many calls from constituents seeking these appointments throughout the last month.
